For over twenty-five years I've had the plate and bowl in the center of this picture.
Only having ONE of each caused many tears over the years. Daughter had a Strawberry Shortcake plate and bowl, but once Youngest Son came along the bunny bowl became the thing to have.
These are nothing special, apparently, to anyone but me.
But I am secretly THRILLED (well publicly now, since i am telling you) to be adding to this collection.
They were made by Onieda, and certainly have held up well over the years.

When I was growing up, we had a spoon that was my dad's when he was little. It had Alice in Wonderland in the 'bowl' part of it. That spoon caused my mother more grief, until she finally just put it away. Kids are funny that way.
Oooooooooh I love them! I have a habit of picking up kid's dishes just because I like them. I have a really neat set of three little pigs dishes from when hubby was a child. I had found a neat old (from the sixties) raggedy ann and raggedy andy bowl but one of the girls broke it.
I do recall a time when I had to put the bunny bowl away. Then we went to plastic dishes in primary colors and we all had our own color.
I've been known to get all swoony over children's dishes. Hmmm. I wonder where they are...
My kids had the exact same set! I loved it! I'm not so sure they cared!
I picked up the bowl in the lower left yesterday for 59 cents. ;)
