And The Collection Grows

Surely you can imagine my excitement upon finding another 'bunny' bowl and plate! Cookie Monster will serve up some tiny cookies in the near future, and Peter Rabbit and Friends? TOO CUTE!

Dutch Thrift

I've passed up so many of these because I never really liked them. Suddenly, yesterday, I felt that my life was not complete without one. Maybe it was from walking around in the sun all day. Yes. That must be it.

Simply Thrifting for Odds and Ends

I was happy to find a low glass candle holder. THGGM's little vignette on rhe piano needed more variety of height. This cute little etched-glass holder was 25 cents.
I'm starting to like the look of this.
Maybe I'll have to start adding the pool balls to the mix...

Scarfing Up the Dress-up Drawer

I'm having a great time looking for scarves at the thrift store! After I saw how much the clever children's catalogs charge for them, I just knew there had to be a better way. A WAAAY better way. I've never been a scarf wearer, but I do really like this one! Famke likes the scarves best, as she can throw them over herself and still see through them. This is also very wise on her part.

Two Bit Happiness

This little cup.
It made me smile and feel all happy inside.
So I bought it.
For 50 cents.
My happiness is worth 50 cents, don't you think?
Now. Who was it who said you can't buy happiness?
Normally, I would agree. But today?
I bought this cup and I am happy.

Four Little Finds

Just a few interesting pieces of dishware today. I thought the top bowl was lovely, the second bowl, although plastic, is charming due to it's having the alphabet on it, the third is a pattern I am adding to piece by 15 cent piece, and the last one? Well. That is the pattern of my 'everyday' dishes. I love that shade of blue. Always have. And, since it seems like nobody else likes this pattern anymore, I'm able to pick up LOTS of pieces of that for cheap. I might have to go back. THGGM told me that the dinner size plates were only 50 cents. I'll have to think about that.

Nearly Free Fun

This book was a 29 cent thrift find. If you have young children, look for it! I would have happily paid full price for this! It's full of easy to use patterns. Being me, I didn't even read the directions, just traced a pattern and got busy on some wool scraps from one of THGGM's sweaters. There is a pattern for a bunny, too! Too cute! Now.., where is that white wool I felted...

Too Fun!

I found the birthday cake toppers in a baggy for 25 cents.
Can't say exactly why, but I LOVE finding stuff like this!

Somebody else likes them, too!
