Tonight after dinner we made a quick thrift store run. Found this plate, with a Robert Burns quote. I LOVE it! And it was only 69 cents. I am SUCH a cheap date. Our dinner was at Arnies, and we had a buy one get one for 99 cents coupon. Seriously. And I gave half of my meal to THGGM.

My late father loved Robert Burns. My dad's parents were both born in Scotland, so he could imitate the Scottish accent.
When family got together for a holiday meal, my dad would recite this poem as grace for the meal.
Wow, this brings up great memories. I had forgotten that until I saw the verse on your plate.
