cute Cute CUTE

Isn't this just the cutest thing?
I'm giving up thrift/antique shopping for Lent.
Because there is apparently NO END to the cute things at thrift stores and antique malls.
So, I shall give it a rest for a bit.
It won't be easy.
But, I can do it!
Oh, and don't worry. I've plenty on hand that I haven't added to this blog yet.
So, stay tuned...

Half Price Sale

As if thrift stores aren't amazing enough, my favorite one just had three days of everything at 50% off.
I didn't go until the last day, but yet I found these light fixtures that I'd had my eye on for several weeks now.
Haven't come up with a plan for them. Yet. But I'm sure I will!
I don't need them as lights, but I think they are quite decorative on their own.
Aren't they CUUUTE?
(please say yes!)

Look what I found tonight! THGGM dropped me off at a thrift store while he ran some errands. This gave me time to move at more of a browsers pace than our usual casing of the joint.
I found a wooden tree puzzle, eight jello molds (see below), two chicken buttons, a pair of pants for Kado, two pieces of white felt and this Boutonniere serving bowl.
Wow. A Boutonniere serving bowl. I was THRILLED.
It was seventy nine cents.
Can you believe it?

This puzzle caught my eye. So, I bought it.
It did require the help of THGGM to get it together.
I've never claimed to be good at puzzles. They ARE called puzzles for a reason.
Don't tell ANYONE, but I didn't even know what it was until I got it home.

Jello Molds

Eight jello molds for 69 cents. Lately, I've been finding jello molds for 50 cents to one dollar a piece which seems rather high to me. I have an old thrifted picnic basket that I keep the molds in. Seems like I have quite a basket full. When I make the wool pompom birds these make cute nests. I've also seen them painted up like cupcakes. Too cute!
